As part of the Annual Conference, A-MSA hosts the presentation of papers as well as three distinct student competitions: the Poster Competition, the Undergraduate Competition, and the Graduate Competition.
We welcome proposals for presentations examining the challenges and the opportunities that accompany the application of sociology in the public sphere.
A prize of $100 will be awarded for the best poster at this year’s conference.
A prize of $100 will be awarded for the outstanding undergraduate student paper selected at this year’s conference. The second place undergraduate student paper will receive a prize of $50.
A prize of $200 will be awarded for the most excellent graduate student paper presented at this year’s conference. The second place graduate student paper will receive a prize of $100.
The deadline for submissions for student competitors is January 31, 2017. To be considered for competition, we need full papers for the undergraduate and graduate competitions. The posters will be assessed on site during the conference. The deadline for all other submissions is Monday February 6, 2017. Please ensure that you fill out the submission form completely. Documents intended for upload should have name and contact information.
